WHAT IS SANDWICH PANEL?

Sandwich panels used for heat, water, fire and sound insulation are composite materials produced in continuous lines according to TS EN 14509 standard. Inner and outer surfaces; metal (Painted Galvanized Sheet, Natural Aluminum, Painted Aluminum, Stainless Steel) as well as FRP and FIBERCEMENT  are also used according to the project requirements.

Products such as mineral wool, (rockwool, glasswool) and EPS used as insulation materials are bonded with special adhesives and polyurethane is injected into a sandwich panel.

To increase the compressive strength in mineral wool insulated sandwich panels; high-density products are used, (100 -120 kg/m³) boards are sliced and the fibers are placed perpendicular to the panel surface by sticking them to the outer surface coatings.

Roof and wall panels are produced in the desired length, but in terms of transportation, it is recommended that the lengths do not exceed a maximum of 10 m. From the ridge to the rain gutter, roof dimensions exceeding 10 m are installed by adding special details over the appropriate roof purlin. It is recommended for buildings with a roof slope of more than 5%. Sandwich panels are products with high carrying capacity. The carrying capacity depends on the form of the panel, the quality and thickness of the outer coating, the insulation.

SANDWICH PANEL LAYERS

Single layer trapezoidal coatings

They are coating materials produced from galvanized sheet, painted galvanized sheet or aluminum materials that can be used alone in buildings that do not require other insulation other than waterproofing. At the same time, on roofs with low slopes (roofs with a slope of less than 5%) where insulation is required, they also serve as floor and top coating for both carrier and insulation material.

Sandwich panel bottom and top surface coatings

Although sandwich panels work like composite materials, they are the upper and lower surface materials that carry the main load and are most affected by weather conditions.

INSULATION LAYERS

ROCKWOOL

It is produced in the form of rockwool plates, automatically sliced according to the panel thickness in our production facility, and sandwich panel production is completed by turning the fibers perpendicular to the panel surface and laminating it. Placing the fibers perpendicular to the surface; increases the compressive force of the sandwich panel and increases its resistance to loads.

It is fire class A (DIN 4102) and has high flame resistance. The heat resistance of stone wool is up to 1,000°C, the fire resistance increases with thickness.

EPS (POLYSTREN)

EPS (Expanded Polystyrene) is a heat insulation material that is formed by the pentane gas contained in the raw material granules swelling and sticking the granules to each other as a result of the contact of the polystyrene raw material with water vapor. The blocks to be used in sandwich panels are dried in special ovens, the humidity level is reduced below 2% and they are cut to the desired thickness. It is the most economical, lightest, and environmentally friendly material among thermal insulation boards. It does not emit toxic gas in case of fire, fire class is E.
